2014
with the help from ayso - west oahu, NQD began its journey to provide recreational activities for those who find it difficult to play amongst “mainstream” competition. our inaugural season featured 3 players.
2018
the rise of the firebirds. in hawaii, there was no baseball program dedicated to children and youth, who find it difficult to play on “mainstream” teams. till this day, NQD is the first and only baseball program offered to such a community.
2018
in collaboration with the els for autism foundation, NQD became the official program provider for the #gameonautism golf program for the state of hawaii. this is the only golf program in hawaii offered to such a community.
2019
the momentum continued with the introduction of tsunami basketball. the first non-competitive basketball program in hawaii offered to such a community.
2020
the wax academy, powered by NQD is the first and only dj program in the world offered to such a community. the program allows participants to unlock their creativity through music, as they are allowed to speed up/ slow down songs, add sound effects and gradually expose senses to the sights, sound and touch of a dj controller.

To be the first Certified Autism Center in Hawaii exemplifies NQD’s commitment to the special needs community, specifically those on the autism spectrum. In a place that many people call paradise, NQD wants to be the pioneer of change, making Hawaii a place of understanding, acceptance, and inclusion.
